Though similar to compression spring design, extension spring design has unique complexities that, if overlooked, can shorten spring life. This course teaches you to recognise and design for them. You'll cover: load and deflection, the relevant standards, length calculations, stress analysis including loop stress, safe stress limits, natural frequency, and dynamic stress limits. Around two hours of on-demand learning, accessible on PC, tablet or mobile, with assessments throughout. On completion you'll receive an IST certificate with a publicly verifiable record.
