Spring Failure and Prevention

Failure analysis — sometimes referred to as failure investigation — is the systematic process of determining why a spring has failed. The primary objective is to uncover the root cause, because the cause is usually decided long before the spring breaks. You'll cover: fatigue, corrosion, cracking, embrittlement, surface protection, relaxation and wear — what each failure mode looks like, the mechanism behind it, and the design and process decisions that prevent it. Around two hours of on-demand learning, accessible on PC, tablet or mobile, with assessments throughout. On completion you'll receive an IST certificate with a publicly verifiable record.
